BPS Seeking Public Assistance to Locate Stolen Military Medals

The Brantford Police Service are seeking the public’s assistance in locating historically significant military medals stolen from a residential break and enter.

On September 15, 2026, at approximately 8:30 p.m., unknown suspects entered a residence on Hardy Road and stole several items.

Among the stolen property are British Royal Marines medals of valour, which have significant personal and historical value to the victim.

The stolen medals include:

• A British Royal Marines medal of valour featuring service bars;
• A second British Royal Marines medal with service bars recognizing service in South Arabia, Borneo, Northern Ireland and the Malay Peninsula.

Images accompanying this release are not photographs of the actual stolen medals. They are representative images showing the appearance of the stolen medals. The second medal would have three additional service bars positioned above the South Arabia bar, recognizing service in Borneo, Northern Ireland and the Malay Peninsula.

Police are also asking members of the public, particularly those who may encounter these medals for sale through online marketplaces, auction sites, or other avenues, to contact police rather than purchasing or reselling them.
