Brantford Police Service Release 2025 Annual Report

The Brantford Police Service is pleased to announce the release of its 2025 Annual Report, presented today to the Brantford Police Services Board during its June 25, 2026, meeting.
The report highlights the Service’s accomplishments, challenges, and ongoing commitment to public safety throughout 2025, while providing transparency and accountability to the community.
Throughout 2025, Brantford Police Service members responded to more than 52,000 calls for service and over 17,000 emergency 9-1-1 calls, while continuing to focus on crime prevention, community engagement, victim support, officer wellness, and operational excellence.
The report also showcases several significant milestones, including the successful hosting of the 2025 Special Olympics Ontario Provincial Summer Games, the implementation of Next Generation 9-1-1 technology, the rollout of body-worn cameras, continued progress on the redevelopment of police headquarters, and ongoing advancements in community safety partnerships and strategic initiatives.
“Every day, our members demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and a commitment to serving our community,” said Chief Jason Saunders. “This report reflects the dedication of our sworn and civilian members, the strength of our community partnerships, and our ongoing efforts to build a safer, stronger, and more connected Brantford.”
Board Chair Mandy Samwell noted the importance of transparency and accountability in policing.
“The Annual Report provides residents with an opportunity to learn more about the work being done on their behalf and the progress being made toward our strategic priorities,” said Samwell. “We are proud of the dedication shown by the members of the Brantford Police Service and their continued commitment to serving our community.”
The 2025 Annual Report outlines progress made toward the goals of the Brantford Police Service Strategic Plan, including efforts to prevent and reduce crime, strengthen community partnerships, support member wellness, modernize service delivery, and ensure responsible fiscal management.
