Impaired Driver Charged After Collision Leaves Motorcyclist with Life-Threatening Injuries

At approximately 8:15 p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2026, officers with the Brantford Police Service responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a car and a motorcycle at the intersection of Glikison Street and Colborne Street West.
Speaking with the female driver of the car, officers observed signs of impairment. The female failed roadside testing and was transported to provide samples of breath as required by law. Both samples provided were in excess of the legal limit.
The motorcycle driver suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was transported to the nearest trauma center.
As a result, a 33-year-old female from Brantford was charged with the following:
- Operation Causing Bodily Harm
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration
- Dangerous Operation Causing Bodily Harm.
