Male Arrested Following Attempt to Obtain Narcotics Using Fraudulent Prescription

On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at approximately 12:30 p.m., members of the Brantford Police Service responded to a pharmacy located inside FreshCo at 50 Market St S after staff reported that a male was attempting to pass a fraudulent prescription for narcotics.
As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old male has been charged with:
- Obtain Controlled Substance by Fraud
- Uttering a Forged Document
- Forgery
- Fail to Comply with a Probation Order
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
Police remind the public and healthcare providers to remain vigilant regarding fraudulent prescriptions and to report any suspicious activity immediately.
