Police Investigating Suspicious Fire on Mount Pleasant Rd

Brantford Police Service are currently investigating a suspicious fire that occurred around approximately 3:30 PM on April 17th in the area of Mount Pleasant Road and Conklin Road.

 

At 3:36 PM, Brantford Police Service and Brantford Fire responded to reports of a barn fire.  Upon arrival, a large wooden barn was found fully engulfed in flames.  Firefighters on scene worked to contain and extinguish the fire.  Brantford Police attended the scene to assist and have since taken over the investigation.

 

There are no reports of any injuries resulting from the fire. However, there is significant damage to the property.

 

Based on the preliminary findings and investigations, the fire is being treated as suspicious in nature. Investigators are working to determine the cause and origin of the fire.

 

Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed any suspicious activity, or who may have dash cam or security footage, to come forward.
