BPS Traffic Unit Investigate Single Fatality in Mohawk Lake Motor Vehicle Accident

On Saturday, September 19, 2020 at approximately 7:15pm, members of the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to attend a serious single motor vehicle collision on Greenwich Street; South of Murray Street.  Members of Brantford Fire and Brant/Brantford Paramedics were also dispatched to the collision.

Arriving on scene, officers located a single motor vehicle in Mohawk Lake. Investigation revealed the vehicle had lost control and left the roadway where it crashed into the lake. Members of the Brantford Fire Department were able to locate a 38 year old male from Brantford, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle.  The male was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Greenwich Street between Murray Street and Mohawk Street was closed for several hours during the investigation as members from the Collision Reconstruction Unit processed the collision scene.  All roadways are now open.
